The Venus & Adonis Long Skirt No. 1 is a unique upcycled new garment, hand-embroidered with original roses. Like all pieces from Telling Roses, it celebrates the symbolism and beauty of roses. Each top is a one-of-a-kind artwork, created for someone who appreciates artistry, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.

Symbolism & Inspiration:

The Venus & Adonis collection is inspired by the ancient Myth according to which Venus once loved the beautiful mortal Adonis, only to find him fatally wounded by a wild boar. His blood fell upon her sacred white roses, turning them red. In this myth the Red Roses embody the dual nature of love: bliss and loss, passion and pain. Telling Roses brings to life this universal story through the ancient art of hand-embroidery and with an original storytelling artwork.
