The Roses & Souls one-off series is rooted in the ancient symbolism of the rose as a flower of passage. From the funerary rites of Ancient Egypt to classical mythology, roses have accompanied the dead and embodied the mystery of transformation. They speak of endings that become beginnings, of memory that survives time, and of beauty that persists through metamorphosis.

The Roses & Souls Top No. 1 combines knitting, hand-painting and hand embroidery in a one-of-a-kind work entirely handmade by our Artist of the Roses, Bruna Manera. Through the meeting of textile and pigment, the garment becomes a meditation on transformation itself—where threads and color are woven into a new form of life.

Detailed description

The Roses & Souls Top No. 1 is a one-of-a-kind sleeveless top exploring the relationship between body, memory and transformation. Entirely handmade, the piece is knitted using a metallic silver stretch fabric that catches and reflects light with every movement. The high neck silhouette creates a sculptural presence, while the open back is secured by two delicate criss-cross chains, balancing structure and fragility. The unique roses and theirs "souls" are hand painted and hand-embroidered by the artist to create a wearable artwork conceived to blur the boundaries between garment, adornment and storytelling.
