Detailed Description:
The Rosa Carolina Cardigan No. 1 is a unique upcycled garment, hand-embroidered with original roses. Like all pieces from Telling Roses, it celebrates the symbolism and beauty of the queen of flowers. Each top is a one-of-a-kind artwork, created for someone who appreciates artistry, craftsmanship, and meaningful design.
Symbolism & Inspiration:
The Rosa Carolina Cardigan No. 1 is the first of its series and the inaugural piece in our Rosa Carolina Collection. It symbolizes “The Danger of Love”, the message carried by this wild rose in Victorian times. In some sources of the Language of Flowers (Floriography), Rosa Carolina is documented as a symbol of forbidden or hazardous love. It can represent either a dangerous seduction or that love which remains trapped between desire and respectability.
